Savitribai Phule's formal name is Savitribai Phule. Pune University (also known as UNIPUNE, Pune University, and SPPU) is a prominent university in India founded in 1949 under the Poona University Act. It is known as the 'Oxford of the East,' according to UGC. The University has a NAAC accreditation of 'A' and was rated 9 in the 'University' category by the National Institutional Research Framework (NIRF) in 2020. In addition, Unipune was placed 4 for Mass Communication in India in the newly announced India Today 2021 rankings.

The University includes approximately 40 academic departments, 12 faculties, 52 research centres, 307 recognised research institutions, and over 700 associated colleges that provide UG, PG, diploma, PG diploma, PhD, and certificate courses in 17 different sectors of study. From the 2021 class onwards, ‘Unipune' has begun a three-year BSc in 3D Animation and VFX and a few PG diploma and certificate programmes.

Because of its superb facilities, the University draws a large number of international students. In addition to regular classes, it also provides distance learning courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Pune University's admissions method for its different UG and PG degrees is both entrance and merit-based. In the event of entrance-based admissions, it publishes course-by-course merit lists, followed by the counselling procedure.

What are duplicate mark sheets?

The certificate of degree awarded to a student is only issued once. The duplicate degree is only provided in actual instances when the original marksheets have been lost, stolen, or damaged. Once you understand that your mark list or certificate is lost, you have to immediately follow these steps:

1. Go to the nearest police station and file a complaint mentioning the loss of the certificate and the details of the certificate. Get a copy of the FIR.

2. Report to the University.

3. Publish in the newspaper informing the loss of the mark list or certificate. This step is optional, but some universities may ask for it.

4. Apply to the University to issue the duplicate mark list or certificate.

How to Apply for the Duplicate marksheets Pune University

You have to follow these steps:

1. Prepare an affidavit for a duplicate mark list mentioning all the essential details like Your Registration number or USN, year of issue of mark list, name of University and the college you studied, name of the course you studied and the course duration.

2. Get the affidavit attested by a Notary.

3. Write a covering letter to the University informing of the loss of the particular mark list and request for a duplicate to be issued.

Visit Pune University Personally (Recommended option)

This is the easiest and hassle-free way if you are in India and okay to go to Mumbai University. Prepare the following documents:

First Information Report (FIR) from the police station.

• Visit the nearest Police Station where your Educational documents are lost.

• Note: Steps are the same for both certificate / mark-sheet

• You will need to provide the following details to Police while writing an FIR (Some Police stations may not ask for all parties, but it’s better to be prepared to answer all these)

  • Your Full Name

  • Father’s Name

  • Date Of Birth (with the year)

  • Residential Address

  • Place of losing Certificate, Example: Bus, train, shopping, market, theft, auto-rickshaw, cab etc.

  • Time of losing Certificate- Approximate Time (it’s okay if you don’t know)

1. Affidavit - For a duplicate mark list, you'll need an affidavit that includes your registration number or USN, the year the mark list was issued, the name of the university and college where you studied, and the name of the course you took, and the duration of the course.
